Kickin’ Back @ King Alley is a free summer concert and event series in Gate City, Virginia. Talented bands from across the region preform at the King Alley location in downtown Gate City.  Our events are made possible by a collaborated effort between the Town of Gate City, Gate City Frontier, Inc, Scott County Tourism, local civic groups and our sponsorship partners.

In 2013, Kickin’ Back @ King Alley was developed as venue to help capture the rich music heritage in Gate City and surrounding areas.  The Town of Gate City recognizes that by developing a vibrant music economy it will drive value in several important ways. It fuels job creation, economic growth, tourism development and artistic growth, and strengthens the Town’s brand.  Today our events bring 15,000 visitors and tourist to Gate City annually.

Every event is geared to provide family fun for all ages to enjoy.  Visitors will enjoy local food, antique shopping and, arts and crafts.  There is a Beer Garden onsite.  Many events include activities for the kids, car and motorcycle shows, sport venues and more.  Be sure to bring your friends and your lawn chair!

Downtown Gate City, VA is rich with locally owned restaurants and antique shopping within walking distance of our music event venues.  We are pet friendly but don’t forget the leash!
